The Peshawar White poppy is a refined heirloom variety known for its soft white petals and subtle elegance. With a clean, minimal appearance contrasted by a delicate central eye, this cultivar stands apart for its understated beauty while maintaining the resilience and adaptability of traditional Papaver somniferum lines.
Historical Overview & Origin
Named after the historic region of Peshawar, located in modern-day Pakistan near the Afghanistan border, this variety is believed to trace its lineage to Central and South Asian cultivation zones long associated with poppy agriculture. These regions have played a significant role in preserving and passing down unique poppy genetics over generations.
White-flowered poppies have traditionally been valued for their purity of form and symbolic meaning, often associated with peace, stillness, and simplicity. In contrast to the bold reds and deep purples found in other regional varieties, Peshawar White represents a more refined expression of the species.

I was so nervous about trying to grow my own but honestly
I was so nervous about trying to grow my own but honestly, this was the best and easiest process that I’ve done growing anything. The videos provided walk you through everything you need to know. Easy peasy now it’s time to enjoy my first harvest (2 flushes) of Golden Teachers! Lots easier than growing the other plants we like to grow…
Excellent genetics, every step is explained for beginners, the videos and documents are thorough and thoughtful. It's really about making yourself a better person I think, and TG/Sacred 3 are a vessel through which that can be more completely realized. I've grown a couple strains and have cacti going too - adding to my cannabis collection.

Second tote, second grow.
This is my second tote with Tanasi gear. I’m learning as I go and making plenty of mistakes but I’m a hard headed man, haha. B+ first flush and let me tell you the second is killing it. I went without a liner and that was a mistake but like I said, I’m learning and loving every minute of it. B+ is more my speed I think, got Mazapatec and Costa Rica in line next.

Great Experience, life changing…
I have been wanting to learn how to grow mushrooms since I was 16, I’m 50 now. Tanasi made that possible. Throughout the process I reached out periodically for input and they provided just the right amount of feedback so that I could also find my own way. I’m just grateful that they are around. My first grow was successful in spite of severe weather and I account my success to their stable genetics and great gear and I haven’t had any problems with the equipment just overthinking on my part. I encourage anyone on the fence to go ahead and order a personal fable kit, you won’t be disappointed, I promise you that.
