Origin & Genetic Lineage
Albino Texas Penis Envy #6 (APE6) is a hybrid of two legendary Psilocybe cubensis strains: Texas Cubensis, known for its fast colonization and heavy yields, and Penis Envy (PE), famous for its intense potency and dense structure. APE6 combines the strength of both, resulting in a leucistic strain that appears pale or ivory in color, but still produces dark spores. The “#6” represents a stabilized expression chosen after multiple isolations. Despite the name, it is not a true albino.

History & Spread
APE6 was created through grassroots breeding by underground cultivators aiming to retain PE’s potency while improving cultivation consistency. Over time, it gained a strong following in both microscopy and home cultivation communities for its resilience, aesthetics, and effects.

Appearance & Morphology
APE6 produces thick, pale caps that may show a bluish hue in cooler environments. The mushrooms maintain a dome-like shape consistent with Penis Envy lineage. Stems are stocky, dense, and white, with heavy bruising when handled. Spores are dark purple-black, confirming this is a leucistic variety rather than a true albino.

Potency & Effects
APE6 is often categorized between HIGH and EXTREME potency. Users report intense visual distortions, emotional clarity, and long-lasting euphoria. Its effects are deeply introspective and often ceremonial in nature. While beginners may find it overwhelming in large doses, experienced explorers value its depth and strength.

Cultivation Notes
This variety colonizes at a moderate pace and thrives on rye grain, millet, or CVG-based substrates. Fruiting can take slightly longer than average but yields dense, highly potent mushrooms. APE6 responds best to stable temperatures, high humidity, and strong fresh air exchange. Spore production is lower than other strains, so many cultivators rely on swabs or clones to maintain the line.
